For climate-friendly \u201cgreen\u201d hydrogen, the electricity required for water electrolysis is based on regenerative sources such as wind or solar energy. Cryogenic processes play an important role in hydrogen processing, as hydrogen has a low molecular mass and only liquefies at temperatures below -253 degrees Celsius. Liquefaction of hydrogen enables efficient handling, because thanks to its higher density, hydrogen in liquid state can be stored more effectively and transported more easily to its destination. Valves used in hydrogen infrastructure must withstand extreme pressures and temperature ranges and therefore exhibit particular toughness. As an expert in industrial valves, Siekmann Econosto places high demands on the material selection for individual valve components.
